ICT Policy

In today’s international development field, practitioners and policymakers need to pay attention not just to underserved communities and their needs but also to the social, economic, and legal environments in which those communities operate. The stability, safety, and inclusivity of a country’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector are now more crucial to sustainable growth and development than ever before.
Through several Digital Frontiers activities, the project works to promote best-practices for ICT policy creation by offering technical assistance, embedded experts, and capacity-building to help partner country governments establish policy and regulatory frameworks that will foster safe and inclusive digital economies. The project also works to strengthen the private sector and civil society’s ability to better understand, comply with, take advantage of, and think critically about the technology policy environment governing their business's or organization’s actions.
