The evidence is in. Effectively engaging men and boys is necessary to addressing gender inequalities and creating opportunities for women and girls to access the digital technologies that could improve their lives. 

Through the WomenConnect Challenge, USAID is working to deploy five proven strategies—changing social norms, building women’s confidence, increasing community support, designing creative women-centric technology, and expanding economic opportunities—to help close the gender digital divide and increase women’s economic empowerment in countries around the world.
