In the 21st Century, expanding the reach of broadband networks, enhancing the security and adoption of communications services, and fueling the vibrancy of the information and communications technology (ICT) sector have become critical priorities for countries seeking to spur economic growth and strengthen their ability to engage in the global digital economy. Building on a long agency history of advancing the availability, adoption, and affordability of digital access and services among unconnected or under-connected communities, the USAID Digital Inclusion team is currently implementing the Promoting American Approaches to ICT Policy and Regulation (“ProICT”) activity.
